    Ollie,are the 6 plaques in the pic for fallen Comrades???Here in Perth at Kings Park we have White Gum Trees planted 100 years ago,for every fallen Service Person who died in WW1...it is a sober reminder to the sacrifice Given in the pursuit of Freedom(all the trees were planted by the Families of the Fallen...I just stop the car sometimes and give Respect,read the inscriptions,often just boys of 16 or in many cases 2,3 or 4 sons from one family.steve

    Thanks Foxy,I forgot to mention,that if you click on the pic of the four servicemen,you will see 4 other photos,showing the Cenotaphs in all its Glory over looking the Swan River(as a footnote,the only place in the world that had Black Swans(now thesedays distributed around the world) steve...Today Rememberance Day is so well supported by every one including children(much like Ollie has included the whole community including children,which is great to see Ollie)...Children and following generations are and will be taught the importance of Legacy of those that have served AND THOSE THAT HAVE MADE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE,LEST WE FORGET

    It's traditional. We have a ceremony and we retire the flags. If we didn't burn them what would we do with them?
