Tell that to the BRIC nations. You know, the rest of the world.

The rest of the world does not see it your way Viking. This is not a recent development at all. In fact, most nations have stock piles of US currency. Conspiracy theories are nice ways to pass time, but of little value.

Gold is a very valuable metal in making electronic circuits especially in Communications. We had PWA's (Printed Wiring Assemblies) that were worth up to $20,000 because of their sensitivity and gold content....

The economy of which country are you describing?

    It certainly isn't the U.S. economy...safe?...strong?

Ours is quite weak and feeble right now. The only thing rising is our debt.

Gold prices are rising daily, hardly a conspiracy theory. Gold is up over 150 dollars an ounce in the last 60 days.

But fiat currencies which you put so much faith in, come and go with the coming and going to old over spent empires, that is basic history.

I see you must of missed that class in school.

Gold is preferred not because of conductivity but because of it's lack of corrosion. Copper and silver are far better conductors, but they also corrode.

Silver oxidizes and so does copper to a degree. Listen to yourself, we don't have any gold in Fort Knox, but other countries do? Note they are not on a gold standard either. Your story goes in circles.
